An Honorary professor from the Institute of Cancer Sciences has been elected as a member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) for 2015. Professor Vassilis Gorgoulis was one of 58 new members elected in May from Europe, China, Japan, New Zealand and the United States, who join over 1700 outstanding researchers in life sciences

A licence deal has been transacted by The University of Manchester’s technology transfer company (UMI3 Ltd) with Lab Supplies, Athens, Greece for a research tool which boosts the understanding of senescent cells role in diverse age-related diseases including cancer.
